APPELLATION: Venezia Giulia IGT
GRAPE VARIETY: Merlot from 90-year-old vines.
PRODUCTION AREA: Municipality of Cordenons (Pordenone Province), located in the plain north of Pordenone.
SOIL: Sandy-silty soil rich in gravel.
TRAINING SYSTEM: Casarsa.
HARVEST: Hand-harvested in small crates.

VINIFICATION AND AGEING: The grapes are destemmed and undergo alcoholic fermentation at 27°C, with skin maceration lasting approximately 20–25 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place in 225-litre French oak barriques, where the wine is subsequently aged for a further 24 months before bottling.

TASTING NOTES: Bright ruby red in colour with garnet reflections. The bouquet is deep and complex, offering notes of plum and cherry enriched by delicate floral nuances, expressing remarkable elegance. On the palate, it is rich, refined, and well-balanced, with long persistence and distinctive character. An ideal companion to red meats, game dishes, aged cheeses, and blue cheeses.

Hand-harvested in small crates.
