APPELLATION: DOC FRIULI GRAVE
VARIETY: Pinot Grigio, vineyard planted in 2009 at 150 m a.s.l.
PRODUCTION AREA: Municipality of San Quirino (PN), Upper Pordenone Plain.
SOIL: Alluvial, gravelly-pebbly with calcareous-dolomitic composition.
VINIFICATION & AGING: The grapes are transported to the winery at a temperature of about 2°C. Once destemmed, they undergo a 6-hour skin maceration. This is followed by pressing and alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature between 14–16°C. After bottling, the wine undergoes an additional refinement of about 6 months.
TASTING NOTES: Straw yellow with golden reflections. Fruity notes reminiscent of white peach, with citrus hints on the finish. Of great personality, yet delicate, savory, and mineral. Pairs beautifully with aperitifs, white meats, fish dishes, and vegetarian cuisine.
